Meet Nelly!
Nelly is a petite 3-year-old border collie mix (complete guess due to her looks and size) with a heart full of love and a spirit of resilience. She was found all alone with her 4-month-old puppy, bravely surviving on the streets for weeks until she was rescued. What a hero mama dog! Despite her rough start, Nelly is an incredibly affectionate and loyal companion who will follow you everywhere, always eager to be by your side.
She is fully housetrained and can hold herself for more than 8 hours, making her a great fit for a structured home. Nelly enjoys the company of other dogs, and would do best in a home with another friendly dog or two for company and play. She currently lives peacefully with three other dogs and even sleeps in the room with them.
Nelly adores people and thrives on love and attention. She would do best in a home where her family has time to spend with her and includes her in their daily activities. She is not just a pet; she's a devoted best friend who wants to be part of every adventure.
If you're looking for a sweet, affectionate, and loyal pup who will shower you with unconditional love, Nelly is your girl! Could you be the loving home she's been waiting for?
Nelly is being fostered north of Boston and is available for meet & greets with approved adopters.
All of our dogs come with a 7-week group Beginner course at Bark n' Roll in North Reading included with adoption. If you are not local to North Reading you may opt for an included virtual private session with a certified positive trainer with Bark n' Roll.
To apply to adopt, fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Please note that RnR is a volunteer-based organization. While volunteers review applications as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the following information about our adoption process:
LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents. We rarely know a dog's exact age or full breed mix of dogs, as our information is usually limited.
RNR's ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting one of our adoptable pups is to fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Once we receive your application, one of our volunteers will contact you, review our adoption process, and answer any additional questions you may have. It is important to note that we do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions but on the best fit for a family and, most importantly, the dog.
MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until your adoption application is submitted and reviewed.
APPLYING ONLINE: When completing an application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device); make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible and that you receive a confirmation email.
