Nellie Rose Labrador Retriever Cypress, TX

Hi, my name is Nellie Rose and I'm an 8 month old lovebug! Before you say anything- I know I have a different looking face than most puppies! Some people think I'm ugly because of my underbite but my foster mom said, “that’s what makes me SO cute!” In June, I was rescued from the side of a busy road. So many cars drove by me but no one stopped to help. I was so scared until one day a car stopped and two ladies jumped out to rescue me. Although I was frightened of them, I was so exhausted and hungry and let them pick me up. The two ladies took me to the vet where I received a check up and vaccines. The doctor told us that the swelling in my leg was from a previous broken leg. I was so skinny when I was first rescued but now I weigh 35 pounds and shouldn’t get any bigger. “The perfect size!” my rescue mom always said! I am a little shy at first but once I get to know you I will give you a ton of kisses. I love other dogs and cats. I also already know not to potty in the house! I learned how to play with toys and chase balls. I am now at school learning manners and specialized behavior training to get me ready to find my forever home.
