Meet Neko
Neko is 5 1/2 years old, 85 lbs.
From Neko’s Foster Mom:
If you look up the definition of magnificent it says: impressively beautiful, striking and offers the synonyms: splendid, spectacular, impressive, glorious and superb. Such a wonderful description of Neko that I would end there, but he really is so much more. This incredible boy just wants to be loved and have a forever home that showers him with hugs, kisses and belly rubs. He will lean in to hug you at every chance. You have to see it to believe it. ?
Neko is a six-year-old, 85 lb. lab/shepherd mix. He is housebroken, neutered, HW negative and up to date on his shots. He gets along beautifully with my other dogs, which says a lot since I have a 9 lb. Chihuahua with whom Neko wants to be friends but she does not, yet he keeps trying. Neko has Addison’s Disease, which most people understandably aren’t familiar, so they don’t know is a non-issue for dogs with a monthly shot. Stand For Animals has kindly offered to provide a discounted rate for Neko since they love him so much. That’s the only thing Addison’s requires. I want to clarify since I feel people aren’t inquiring about one of the most amazing dogs I’ve ever met (and I’ve met and fostered quite a few - no offense to my other fosters ?) because they read that. Please know it’s nothing that hinders Neko’s life or overall health.
Neko likes to nap but also walks well on a leash and will pick up the ball to remind you he needs five minutes of your time to play catch – where he could place in the Olympics, he is so talented at this “sport.” If you are looking for the perfect dog, Neko is it. We say every day how he just blends right into our family seamlessly and is no trouble at all! Such a good boy!
*Neko was diagnosed with Addison's Disease two years ago. This requires a monthly shot that Stand For Animals has kindly offered a discounted rate to have the shot given at their clinic. This diagnosis in NO WAY affects his health or ability in any way.
