SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Natasha is a very sweet puppy who is said to be a pure bred shih tzu. She was likely born in October, 2022, and will likely be no more than 10 pounds when fully grown. She is a happy, healthy puppy who loves other small dogs and loves people. THESE ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION: A home without small children or larger animals. A home with a private, fenced yard. A home with an adult adopter who is at home the majority of most days for consistent socialization. A strong veterinary reference (this is your vet sharing with us their records of your responsibility as a pet owner). A home visit that confirms your home is safe for the puppy. This puppy will receive many, many inquiries. We will not be able to answer all. We will first answer those from people who share that they have read the adoption requirements and meet them. Our responsibility is to find the BEST home for our dogs and pups from all who show interest.

Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Petfinder inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of the dog and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and the dog at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting the dog and determining that it matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner.
