Nala One Black Labrador Retriever Rochester, NY

Meet Nala!
Nala is believed to be a 3yr old black Labrador. There are no pedigree papers but has all the characteristics of a true lab! She loves to play tug a war and fetch. She knows basic commands and continues to improve her response time to them. She is currently taking training classes with her foster mom to reinforce these commands. She loves back rubs and being pet and snuggled with. She gives a lot of love and kisses and is a good watch dog appropriately warning you of strangers as they approach when in the yard. She likes to be slowly introduced to strangers and once she gets a good sniff she’s friendly. Shes full grown and about 85lbs. She is well behaved when left alone and is potty trained. She has full reign of foster home while foster mom works. She’s not crate trained and doesn’t like to be crated per groomer. She loves to sleep close by or in bed with her pack if she’s welcome and she usually asks permission. Nala’s past is uncertain beyond the past 4 months. She is chipped and the original owner never responded. Nala seems to have some bouts of anxiety at times and will look to go inside when frightened. She is non reactive on walks towards other dogs respecting or avoiding their space. She can be tough to walk at times when she wants to lead so walking with someone strong enough to manage her 85ibs is imperative. She is in training to help correct these small flaws. Nala would do best in a family home with children old enough to play with her and give her love and affection. She will need a large fenced in backyard and playtime at least for an hour a day or segmented into 2 - 1/2 hours -45 minutes of play outside. She is usually content inside the home if she gets the attention she needs and deserves.
