Meet Munchkin -*adopted*
* This pet is NOT suitable for an apartment due to lots of barking when left alone.
* Munchkin is working on house trained and needs routine with a family who has time to work with him.
* This breed requires grooming every 8-12 weeks. Adopters will need to budget for the added expense
Munchkin is a male Lhasa Apso/ Chihuahua mix who was born around 12/1/21 and current weight at 15 pounds. He was surrendered to our rescue as the single gal lived in an apartment and he barked non stop while she was gone.
When Munchkin came to us, he was a matted mess and had never been groomed before. ?Thank you? to Katie at Mutt Cutts for taking the time to help relieve the skin pulling matted hair and groom him. Munchkin looks like a brand new dog.
His past family never socializing him, so he is very scared and timid when meeting new people and going into unfamiliar settings. The new adopters will need to have the TIME to work with him. Once he knows you and gets comfortable, he isca Velcro dog and wants to be beside you all the time. He has been around older kids, so not suggested kids under the age of 8 years.
The family who surrendered him had a routine for house training or feeding. So he is not house trained yet. The foster family is working on routine to get him started.
We are looking for a patient family who is willing to work with Munchkin as he missed out on so many things in his early puppy stages. Main things socializing, house training and how to be a great companion.
He has come a long way in the short time at his foster home so far.
The adoption fee is $200 + tax with an approved application. The pre-adoption application is available on the website www.prairiepawsrescue.com.
All medical work is completed prior to adoption including neutering shots worming flea treatment rabies shot micro chip kennel cough grooming and vet exam.
