Meet MOZZY
12/19/24 17:18 Foster notes: Mozzy was a joy to have as a foster pup, he is such a sweet and goofy boy. He is potty trained and had no accidents while he was with me, he already knows sit and being both intelligent and food motivated he is easily trainable. He was only with me for a few days but already was making good progress learning down and to stay off the counter/out of the trash. Mozzy loves tough chew toys like Benebone, food enrichment toys (ex. Kong, Snoop, lick mats), and tennis balls. He enjoys playing fetch and then peeling the green fuzz off the tennis balls, and despite enjoying chew toys, he never tried to chew anything he wasn't supposed to. More than anything Mozzy LOVES to snuggle; this boy wants to be near you at all times and loves to cuddle up on the couch or the bed. I let him sleep with me in the bed and he always slept through the night and never woke me up. Mozzy is great in the car and sits/lays politely in the back, we went to Half Moon Bay (~40 min drive either way) and he did great both ways. He walks well on lead though he will pull toward squirrels/small critters and other dogs - he attends playgroup at the shelter and generally gets along with other dogs but is too interested in cats to live with one. I put him in his crate when I was eating and when giving him frozen treats (to limit mess) and he was very calm in the crate. Overall, Moz is an extremely sweet and loving boy who bonds closely with his people and will make a wonderful companion. 12/16/24 01:47 Doggy Day Out Report: Today I: got to go on my first doggie day out and I was so excited to go out with my friend! I needed a boost getting in the car the first time but after that I had it figured out and didnt need any help. I enjoyed sniffing all over the backseat and out the window and rolling around in the back while we drove to the park. I wanted to say hi to all the people, dogs, and bikes we passed (but especially the dogs so many potential new friends!). I really wanted to chase the squirrels and birds (but my friend wouldnt let me), and I liked checking under bushes for critters. At the end of our walk I got a pup cup, yum! Three Words to Describe Me are: Happy-go-lucky, Loving, Inquisitive Notes from My Walker: Mozzy is a super sweet and affectionate boy, he loves attention, pets, and snuggling and is convinced he is a lap dog. He was very excited and wiggly when he came out, but it still didnt take long to get him leashed up. He was a little unsure about jumping in the car on his first go, so I gave him a little boost but after that he had no issues jumping in on his own. He was good in the car and enjoyed sniffing all over and rolling around in the back. Once we got to the park, he was excited to get walking, he can be a bit of a puller (especially if he sees another dog or a critter). He is non-reactive to other dogs, people, bikes, or cars on the trail (and would quite like to say hi to everyone). He does really want to say hi to other dogs (no barking or lunging but will pull strongly towards them). He also would very much like to chase the birds and squirrels and enjoyed checking under bushes for any critters. He is very treat and attention motivated and has a strong sit. Mozzy is such a happy and sweet boy, he is just as happy to go on an adventure as he is to snuggle on the couch.
