Meet Mother

Female, 3 years old, 64 lbs.

Personality: calm, snuggler, playful, independent, and affectionate.

Meet Mother -- your perfect blend of playful and laid-back energy! She goes from adorable bursts of puppy-like energy to sleepy cuddles at bedtime.

Mother's foster says that she'll jump into bed with you in the evening, nuzzling her head next to yours or tucking herself under your arm. After a bit, she'll adjust to give you some room. Later she'll quietly move to the couch, offering you space while staying close by.

Belly rubs and snuggles are Mother's favorite things, but she is also a fan of walks. She has excellent leash manners! Every now and then Mother perks up at a squirrel (and who wouldn't?), but otherwise she keeps focused. Friendly to both dogs and humans alike, she gets lots of love from everyone during walks.

Both house and crate trained, Mother does a great job of sticking to her toys and crate when home alone. Apply today to meet this great gal!

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).

Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.

Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
