Meet Morrissey Smith!

Morrissey Smith is a five year old, black Labrador mix, weighing about 55 pounds. He is already neutered and up to date on his shots.

He is a Velcro dog and his favorite thing to do is lay next to his foster family, get head rubs, snuggles, and play with his toys. He loves his foster mom and dad and follows them from room to room. He lives with another dog, and they get along well, but he will also be fine as an only dog. Because Morrissey Smith doesn't have a great concept of personal space, he will be better off with other medium or large dogs.

Morrissey Smith's ideal living situation would be in an adults-only home where someone is home and can spend lots of time with him - maybe retired or works at home and can spend lots of time with him. He needs a fenced yard where he can run around and play. He does fine on a leash on short walks, but loud noises (leaf blowers, etc) scare him. He is starting to get better with loud noises, but his family will need to continue to build up his confidence.

He is potty trained and will go to the back door when he wants to go out. He sometimes sleeps in his crate at night but prefers to stretch out on the couch. He can be left alone outside of the crate and is not destructive. He loves to play with his toys and chew on his dog bones.

His typical schedule consists of getting up between 7-730, going outside to potty, having breakfast, then going back outside to run around, blow off some steam, and stretch his legs. He typically sleeps next to his foster mom (who works from home) on the couch most of the late morning/afternoon. It's more of the same after his dinner (around 4-430) toys, naps, and backyard time. We sometimes go on a short walk in the evening.

Morrissey Smith is a sweet, loving dog looking for his fur-ever family for snuggles and head scratches.
