Meet Moosie

Moosie came to us with very little info but the info we got was not the real Moosie.
She's a middle aged girl with a zest for life like no other.
She loves to play with toys and is super gentle playing tug and giving things back.
There isn't a person in the world she doesn't run to with enthusiasm to say hello and kiss, and boy those kisses don't stop!
At night she goes to her toy box and pics her chosen toy for the night and hops into bed. Not just ON the bed, as soon as you crawl in she buries herself deep under the covers and snuggles all night. She's the best cuddle buddy ever and if you touch her you'll see your sheets wagging up and down when her tail does.
She's not a morning dog. You can get out of bed, have coffee, look at your emails and she stays under the covers. When breakfast is served, just go peek under the covers and her huge smile warms your heart. She will stretch and try to get some scratches before heading to her breakfast.
She knows after breakfast it's time to go out and hunt chipmunks. She keeps a tight schedule ?
Totally non destructive and a huge cuddler, she'll play outside or in and settle as soon as you want her to. She'll entertain herself or climb on your lap for lots and lots of kisses
Moosie needs a fenced yard as she's uncomfortable around other dogs. We think this is probably due to her being viciously attacked right before Placing Paws took her in and saved her life.
No need to walk her, she's perfectly content having fun in her yard.
She is the epitome of a smiley pittie who can't get close enough to her people. No need for other dogs in the house, she makes sure she shows enough love and affection to you. She prefers to be the sole recipient of attention.
She's not afraid of rain or storms and totally golden if left alone while you leave the house. You'll find her waiting at the door to greet you when you get home.
Don't let the middle age thing worry you. She is super spry and best guess is around 6-7, none of the puppy training or antics.
Such an easy dog, she acclimates almost immediately when she's being babysat in other peoples houses.

ADOPTION FEE: $375.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative. ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org. Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possible. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at placingpaws@yahoo.com. It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
