GENERAL INFO ABOUT PERSONALITY: Moose is a handsome and energetic guy. He loves to go for walks and run around and play. He is a very happy boy and we are hopeful that someone is out there waiting to cross paths with this eager guy!

Moose seems to get along with other dogs and has lived with male dogs. He does not do well with puppies, small dogs or cats.

We are requiring a fully fenced and secure yard with a fence that is at least 6 feet tall as he can jump over anything smaller and will dig if there are any gaps.

Moose shows an extremely high drive for food. This resulted in garbage guzzling and counter surfing in his previous home. It is recommended that he be crated when you leave the house and lucky for you, the previous owner already trained him to be okay in a crate!

He has been learning to sit and stay for his food until released with "okay." He is improving but will need an owner to continue this.

Moose requires an experienced dog owner as he has challenging behaviors. When he gets overly excited he has redirected to the person closest resulting in jumping and nipping.

He was adopted out near Seattle awhile back. He was returned because him and his new owner were going for a walk and out of nowhere, he started jumping up and nipping, resulting in tearing holes in different parts of the clothing. We aren't sure what triggered him to behave this way but it was pretty nerve racking.

Since that incident, Moose has made some huge improvements with his behavior! At one point, if you asked him to sit he just stared at you but now he will do it within a couple seconds. If we see Moose start to get overly excited we reset him by asking for a sit.

Moose is basically a big puppy that never was shown right from wrong. In his time here we've seen that he is extremely trainable. He's been loving going on walks with his gentle leader, but has even gotten to the point where he will walk nicely without it now! Moose has become a much calmer, sociable dog.

ADOPTION FEE: $150 for an adult dog.

Adoption fee includes: Spay/neuter, initial vaccines, a microchip, rabies vaccine when appropriate, and one free veterinary visit with a local participating clinic.
