Moon Australian Shepherd & Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler Mix West Milford, NJ

This pretty petite gal, Moon, approx 4 year old Australian Shepherd/Cattle Heeler mix (?) is our most active dog at the moment... Can you say "stay"? We do ask Moon to "stay" and she can for a little bit. Otherwise she's on the move. Moon's a happy dog. Moon was surrendered to us in January as she did not get along with the cats in the home, being a herding breed... Her owner told us she does fine with other dogs and children. However she can get a little nippy at your heels when excited, if you know the breed, it's common. Moon can be adopted into a house with kids 10+ years of age.
Moon keeps the volunteers on their toes. She loves life, being active and curious. Is this the type of pup you want in your family? Do you know someone who would love her style and personality? She's smart, eager to do a job and approx. 35 lbs... Get this girl signed up for dog agility, fly ball, dock diving, hiking, a jogging partner, maybe sheep herding, etc. With all of our dogs when they are adopted, we offer a training session on us with Canine Cooperative, our trainer.

Stop in to fill out an adoption application and spend as much time as you like with our dogs. If you have a dog already and are looking to add another to your family, please come without your dog for the first meeting. If that goes well, we will set up another meeting with you and your dog to ensure we that we have an available volunteer to supervise the dog meeting and make sure they are a good match.

We do not adopt first come; we always adopt to the best home for our animals and require approval from our dog committee. If you rent, bring proof (lease/contract) that you can have a dog. Also bring your Vet's information to so we can conduct a vet check (and please let your Vet know we will be making a call).

Our adoption fee is $150.00 for dogs. Our animals are fully vetted before being placed for adoption, and spayed/neutered if they are old enough. If they are too young for spay or neuter, we require a $50 deposit that will be refunded upon proof that the pet has been altered.
