Meet Molly - ADOPTED
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Oh by gosh by golly, it's time to meet little Molly! Molly is a 6-year-old Chihuahua mix, possibly with Papillon. She has the trademark feathered ears like a Papillon, with a unique brindle coat. She is a little lady, about 6 pounds, and has a happy-go-lucky personality. She settled into her foster home within a few hours. She is truly a lap pet and will put her paws on you to let you know she wants your lap! Molly is also an inquisitive pup. She started exploring her foster home the minute her paws were on the floor. She also enjoys exploring the outdoors.
Molly was introduced to an older dog like herself and a puppy, 11 months old. The puppy was too much for her because the puppy wanted to play, play, play. Molly, being the mature lady that she is, found it all too much; so no active, in-your-face dogs for this little girl. However, the senior dog was just her style, so Molly likely would do well with another canine companion that is laid back and not so active.
We do not know anything about Molly's history, except she somehow ended up in a shelter in West Virginia. Despite whatever her past may have been, she is a friendly, quiet dog that seems to be comfortable within a home environment so it is likely she was a house dog. She appears potty trained, but will need retraining and consistency in this area as she adjusts to her adoptive home environment.
Molly has had her initial vaccines and a heartworm test. Her heartworm / lyme disease test was negative. She will be visiting a vet soon for a health check, rabies vaccine and microchip. She has an appointment for spay on Dec 11, 2024.
Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to
Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.
Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
