Meet Molly

In early September, Molly and her three puppies arrived at an overcrowded shelter down south. Separated from her puppies, she sat in the shelter scared, while she moved closer and closer to the euthanasia list. She and her puppies would be saved just in the nick of time. The rescue that stepped up for her and her puppies would quickly determine they weren't the right fit for Molly. So, Molly and her puppies once again faced the need for new placement or she would find herself back at the very same overcrowded shelter.

Molly had a few guardian angels step in. Those who loved her at the southern shelter advocated for her with their entire hearts. Our rescue's president committed to her future (and her puppies) and spent a day of driving to bring Molly to safety. One of our volunteers heard her story and decided to sponsor her adoption fee and a foster opened their home to an additional foster. It's been a long road to get to this day, but Molly is finally ready to find her furever family.

Molly has a wonderful demeanor - a perfect mix of loving affection and playfulness. Her tail is always wagging and she loves belly rubs and pets. So much so, that she sometimes gently nudges to let you know she could use some. She loves to be held.

Molly is potty trained, food motivated and crate trained. She doesn't need to be crated and would prefer not to be, but is quiet when crated.

While Molly does not require a fenced in yard, it would be extremely helpful for an adopter to have one while Molly gains confidence on a leash and in a new home. When Molly arrived, she seemingly didn't know what to do when on a leash and would freeze. In just one short week, she is taking steps towards being more brave on a leash. We believe it is a combination of time, trust and patience that will help Molly understand the joys of a walk on a leash. She loves other dogs and had a seamless transition into her multi dog foster home. Molly is submissive and a bit of a follower amongst a pack of dogs.

We just adore this wonderful girl. There is something quite special about her. Molly is being fostered in Reading (Berks County), Pennsylvania and will be available for adoption on or after 11/16/2024
