Mocha Pit Bull Terrier & Chesapeake Bay Retriever Mix Anaconda, MT

Mocha was a stray found on the 600 block of Elm Street, Anaconda and was picked up by Anaconda-Deer Lodge County animal control on 12/16/2022. He was already neutered and microchipped when found. Unfortunately, his original owner is not in the position to reclaim Mocha, so we will look for a new home for him. We are only guessing that he is part pitbull and, perhaps, part Chesapeake Bay retriever because of his coloring, and a touch of curly hair on his back. He is mostly a reddish brown with a white patch on his chest. He is a well a mannered boy, a little thin but that might be because he is young and active.

Mocha arrived at the shelter in 2022 and, despite a year passing with no interest, he was eventually noticed and adopted. His excitement was palpable, and his deserving nature was undeniable. Despite being a well-behaved dog, Mocha struggles with being left alone and has demonstrated a talent for escaping. Given his past in the shelter and the abundance of new experiences awaiting him, it's understandable.

Mocha is seeking a constant companion willing to embark on leashed explorations and help him improve his ability to stay close. A secure fence is essential to prevent him from venturing out on solo escapades. He does great in the house and in vehicles.

All our dogs are spayed/neutered, dewormed, and vaccinated appropriately for their age, including kennel cough (also including rabies if old enough). Puppies (under 6 months) are $275.00; puppies & dogs (6 months to 2 years) are $225.00, dogs (3 years to 6 years) are $200 and senior dogs (7 years or older) are $80.00. Effective 03/15/2024.
