BIO:
Do you have a special place in your heart for a big dog with a heart of gold? My name is Moby, and I am a sweet, calm buddy who is looking for a comfy, cozy home where I can relax and enjoy the pampered life of luxury I deserve. I was found in the woods of one of West Virginia's poorest communities after my previous owner died. It was sad and hard for me to survive, but I am eager for my fresh start with a forever family to show me the good life. I will thrive with patient adopters who are willing to help me adjust to indoor home life; I am calm and laidback; my favorite activities include laying around and hanging out with my family. I would prefer any children to be older if you have kids - the younger, energetic ones startle me a bit! I also get along well with other dogs of all sizes and mainly co-exist with them, simply enjoying a nap near my furry friends. I am working hard on potty training, am crate trained, and am learning how to walk on a leash. My ideal forever home will include a fenced yard so I can nap in the sun, but it is not required as long as you promised to continue to work with me on my leash skills so we can enjoy the outdoors together. Because of my previous life living outside, I was heartworm positive and am now recovering from treatment. That means I need to stay calm and rest for a few weeks until my system is cleared of those icky parasites, but luckily I am an expert lounger so it should be an easy process for all of us! Once I am fully cleared by my vet, I will benefit from training so I can work on my socialization and see how much more I can learn, and my adopters will need to agree to sign me up for them. I hope to show you what a special, very good boy I am; if you give me a cushy bed and lots of love, I will be the dog of a lifetime for you!

ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS, NO EXCEPTIONS:
*ADOPTION FEE: $375
*Be at least 21 years of age
*Live in a 50-mile radius of Itasca, within the Illinois border
*Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household
*Have approval from owner of residence (written in lease)
*Have a valid ID with current address (please provide proof of address if ID address is not up-to-date)
*Be approved as a suitable adoptive home by Fetching Tails Foundation
*Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment
