Mitch came to Minnesota from Mexico where he was a street dog. He is learning about living in a house. He will need work on housetraining when changing to a new house and new routine.

Mitch is around 4 years old and 9 pounds. He is scared at first and needs someone who is willing to be patient with him as he becomes more comfortable and adapts to a new environment and routine. He is a sweet boy once comfortable with his person and likes to try to jump up to be at their same level! He will do best in a home with kids age 12 and up. A quieter home will be better for him. He is good around other small dogs - unknown with cats.

Mitch will require another confident dog in his home to help him become the best, most confident version of himself.

Adoption fee $450 + tax (no checks)

Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment is likely going to be different than that in their foster home.

Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
