MISSY is a beautiful Shepherd mix with the prettiest smile and twinkly eyes. She is 4 years old. When she arrived she was a tad bit shy, unsure of her new surroundings. The loud shelter can be a scary place. Once she got to know us and realized she was safe she started to come out of her shell! She has such a sweet, silly personality. She really loves playing in the play yard with her friend Nigel! They’re so fun to watch, they chase each other and have the best time. Not only is she good with other dogs, she’s also potty trained and crate trained! Missy has the greatest smile and twinkle in her eye, it will make any bad day turn right around. Missy would love to have her own family to fill their days will love and laughs!
ADOPTING A PET
We are open for meet and greet adoptions at our shelter on weekends. No appointment is necessary for weekend adoptions. Our weekend hours vary and we also have satellite adoption events every weekend. We are also open Monday through Friday by appointment. Please contact us by phone at 913-321-1445 or by email at petadoptions@kckpd.org to schedule your appointment during weekdays.
If you have a dog or children we ask that you bring them with you to meet our dogs to make sure it is a good match.
Our dogs have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and tested for heartworms (if 7 months or older).
