Meet Missy, a one-year-old mix breed (Lab?) and the sweetest girl you'll ever meet! She is such a little doll.

Missy, her mom, and her siblings were rescued in rural Missouri back in August and we were finally able to bring them into the Placing Paws family in January.

Missy had never been without her mom so was very scared when she first arrived. While she's still a little shy, she is coming out of her shell every day! Missy loves to play with the resident 2-year-old Golden and she has started going to doggy daycare a couple times a week to meet more people and dogs where she gets glowing reviews from the staff! Missy has been great with her foster family's young grandchildren.

Missy weighs just under 50 pounds and we don't expect her to get much bigger. She is house-trained, but she hasn't outgrown her puppy chewing stage yet, so her new family will keep an eye on her and crate her when they're not able to supervise.

Missy is so gentle and sweet, but also very playful and we know she will be a great addition to her forever family!!

ADOPTION FEE: $400.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative. ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org. Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possible. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed.
