Meet Missy!
Missy is a 1-year-old funny, sweet girl who’s got a personality as unique as her looks. We think she's a Pitt/Australian Shepherd mix, but honestly, she’s a hodgepodge of so many wonderful traits that we’re not entirely sure what else to call her! Missy is short, stocky, and full of charm, with spots like a Cattle Dog and a hilarious corkscrew tail that looks like a question mark. She's what we affectionately call a “short and stocky mutt,” and we think that makes her even more lovable!

Missy came to us with her best friend, Music, from San Francisco Animal Services. They were surrendered together by their owner, who found it tough to keep up with the energy of two young, playful pups. These two girls quickly became favorites with the staff and volunteers—watching them together is pure entertainment! They have fantastic dog-to-dog skills and are great in playgroup. They’re social, savvy, and full of fun.

Missy is an active girl who’s still learning the ropes when it comes to manners and impulse control. She’s working with her foster on managing her hyperactivity and tendency to jump up, but she’s a quick learner and making progress. Missy will thrive in a home with plenty of activity, whether it’s hiking, running, or just a lot of playtime. She’ll need an experienced owner who can help her burn off her energy and continue her training.

While Missy’s energy may be a bit much for younger children, she’d be a great fit for an active household with older children or teens. If you’re looking for a fun, adventurous companion who’s ready to keep up with your active lifestyle, Missy might just be your perfect match!

All our pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated to date and microchipped through the rescue.
