Meet Miss Suzy

Background Info:
This adorable cutie-pie lost her home recently because she was too energetic and feisty to live in a home with young children. She is very small in size, but has a big happy personality.
Adoption Fee: $150
Breed: Pit Bull mix
Sex: Female
Age: 2-4 yo
Weight: 35-45 Lbs
Health Condition:
Miss Suzy is healthy and ready for adoption.
?
Physical Description:
Tiny but mighty. A little bundle of energy housed in a petite frame with delicate, yet athletic features. Suzy has a gorgeous blue fawn brindle coat and the cutest little face with expressive eyes. When happy, her whole body wags with her tail.
Current Living Situation:
Suzy took her surrendering hard but she's trying to be a trooper. Losing a home is never easy but we think she will soon overcome her broken heart and move on. She has such a positive spirit. In the meantime, she is adjusting to shelter life at MPR's facility.
Personality:
Though occasionally a little skittish, Suzy is for the most part an outgoing, lively, and happy little dog who loves to rump and play. She can maneuver her way through obstacles like a gazelle. We bet she would ace an Agility class. Please keep this in mind if you have a low fence. This bouncy girl loves to leap on beds and couches and might be able to get over a fence if left outside unsupervised. She is very curious and alert and might love to go explore. She would certainly make a great walking partner and might enjoy going on all kinds of hiking adventures, safely kept on leash.
While her level of energy is high, she is not hyperactive. Give her a chance to do a few rounds of zoomies, chase a ball for a while, or go on a good walk, and she'll be ready to cuddle.
Normally Suzy is smart and eager to please. She is sometimes a little unsure of someone's intentions and might hesitate initially, but as soon as knows she can trust you, she'll do her best to make you happy. And when you're happy, she's happy and immediately turns into a go-go dancer, comically shaking her booty left and right. She is so much fun!
?
Behavior with people:
Friendly and eager to connect, but a little insecure at times. She warms up very quick though and is all about fun and play. She loves a good cuddle sesh too ? Overall Suzy is a fun-loving gal who enjoys people and loves to be in the middle of the action with everyone.
Behavior with children:
Suzy doesn't always realize that little ones aren't play toys. Parents should understand that dogs and kids need strong supervision and young children should not be expected to have the appropriate leadership to train a dog. Since her previous experience with kids caused her to lose her home, we will not place Suzy with kids under 13. We think she would make an awesome companion in a home with active and respectful teenagers that understand dogs well. A home with adults would be ideal for this happy little squirrel.
Behavior with other dogs:
We have very little information regarding Suzy's behavior with other dogs. We know she lived with two male dogs but we dont know the breeds and ages, and how she did with them. We presume it was fine as no issues were reported to us by the owner.
Behavior with other animals:
Unknown. We haven't seen her around cats, but she might be the type to have a little too much prey drive to share a home with them..
?
Training:
She has the basics down, but may be a work in progress. She's very smart and so eager to have fun that with the correct training techniques she could go very far in obedience. Suzy is a little athlete and might make a great running partner.
?
Best Attributes:
Suzy's small size and athleticism are what makes this smart girl stand out... and that darling little face!
