MISS LUNA Mixed Breed Hermiston, OR

Sweet LUNA is looking for a family! She was rescued from an intersection where someone dumped her from the window of a car. At about 4 years old and almost 50 lbs, LUNA is both house and crate-trained. She is also spayed and heartworm negative.

This girl is funny and playful – she LOVES running in the great wide open and romping with other pups! LUNA is good with kids, and at the dog park. She’s TOO INTERESTED in cats though (so not a good match).

MISS LUNA has a lot of energy, but is not needy. She is fairly content on her own and likes to explore any sounds and smells coming her way. She would do best with a yard, and opportunities to run free – she loves adventures – and play with other pups. She also loves being loved! She melts for belly rubs and stares oh so sweetly into your eyes.

In her enthusiasm to be with you, LUNA will sometimes nibble wrists and ankles, or jump to be close. She is super smart though, and has improved so much with kind persistence. She responds well to diversions – like other things to chew – as well as routines like sitting before having her leash or harness attached, or crossing the street. Additional leadership and training of course would benefit her too.

A likely result of her previous experience, Luna can be skittish around some men – especially those coming into her yard to work. She is very responsive to a gentle hand though, from men and women.
