Miriam Pit Bull Terrier Mix Buffalo, NY

Miriam is an 8-year-old pittie mix with a past that speaks to her resilience! She came to our rescue from a shelter, where she was brought in after being found chained up, enduring a rough life outside. The chain around her neck weighed nearly five pounds, but Miriam's spirit was never weighed down. Despite the neglect she faced, Miriam remains playful, with a heart full of love and a desire for attention. She’s currently receiving treatment for her eyes and skin, and she's healing beautifully. Miriam is living proof that no matter how tough the journey, a brighter future is always possible. This resiliant girl is thriving in foster, here's what they have to say:

"She is such an easy to care for dog - would be perfect for someone who says they want a dog but don’t have time bc that sweet girl just wants a comfy spot to nap all day! I would even try and take her for walks and after she did her business she’d start pulling me back to the house. She walks really well on the leash too and if we’re inside and I call her name she’ll come. She rides well in the car but I recommend clipping a dog seat belt to her harness or she’ll try and climb in the front seat/in your lap. I would leave her out during the day if I had to run errands and she doesn’t destroy anything usually still napping. Sometimes she’s sit and look out the front window but she doesn’t bark at people! Really just wants to be a loved couch potato."
