Meet Milo, a soft-as-silk Shih Tzu looking for his forever home! When Milo first arrived at his foster home, he was timid and uncertain, but with patience and understanding, he has blossomed into a loyal companion. Milo needs a family willing to give him space and time to build trust, and before you know it, he'll be hopping onto the sofa for cuddles and snuggles. Milo walks wonderfully on a leash, making him an excellent walking partner, and he's a perfect gentleman during car rides. He gets along well with other dogs but doesn't show much interest in playing or interacting with them--his heart is dedicated to his humans. Milo's history as a stray has made him quite possessive of food and toys. He'll need to be fed separately from other pets, either in his crate or in a different room, as he has a tendency to guard his meals and will poach food if given a chance. He also doesn't appreciate anyone disturbing him while he's eating. When it comes to toys, he prefers to keep them all to himself. Milo is crate-trained but may fuss for a bit when first crated. He's still working on potty training, and while he knows to use pee pads, he'll also go outside when taken out regularly. Is Milo worth the extra effort? Absolutely! Once he feels secure and forms a bond with you, he'll be your little shadow, faithfully following you everywhere.
