Meet Millie
Hi!! I’m Millie! I am looking for my forever home. I am a 3-year old, 72 lb, Great Pyrenese with typical GP tendencies. I am going to be honest and upfront from the get go….. I do not do well on a leash, but I am learning and doing much better! I do not like using a harness and have nipped in the past when being put in one. For this reason I will need a fenced in yard. Walks….I go on them but again the harness is not my friend and I pull on a leash. Plus when I am done. I am done. When this happens you have to carry me home ?.
My ideal family would include another pup who would love to play with me. I have a lot of energy to burn off. I also LOVE toys! In my foster home I get out 10-15 toys from the toy box daily. I also bring with me classic BDS (big dog syndrome). When I am done playing with all the toys I want to snuggle with you by sitting on your lap. You won’t need a weighted blanked, you will have a one of kind Millie! My foster family says I am a doll baby!!
I do also have some food aggression but I eat out of a slow feeder. That helps.
Did you know that I am housebroken? I know to ring a bell to let you know I need a potty break. I am also heartworm negative.
I currently live with four dogs and have learned how to be a better pack guest. I learned that biting my fur siblings ain’t nice.
I will flourish in a home with another dog and older kids. I love kids and my prior adoptive dad said I was poked, prodded, and chased by his kids and was fine. I have also done great with cats and Guinea pigs. But, chickens are a no go for meI I would love a family who knows about Great Pyrenees (100% per DNA testing) that is willing to work with me. In return I promise to LOVE you forever! ?? Millie is fostered in Hernando County. To be considered please complete an application http://bit.ly/FARRapplication.
