Meet Millie
Introducing Millie, also known as Silly Millie, Cutie Patootie, Princess Sassypants, and the Southern Belle from Northern Alabama!
This spunky 2-year-old American Bulldog mix (with a hint of blue Lacy, we suspect but haven't done any genetic testing) tips the scales at an easy 50 pounds. She's got quite the backstory—found herself fending solo at an abandoned house for a solid two months. We're sharing a pic of her rescue day so you can see just how far she's come. Heartworm positive? Check. But she's undergone treatment, got the spay, the microchip, and every shot under the sun.
Millie's all about that daily dose of adventure, especially if it involves chasing sticks and balls she discovers in the woods. She's the ultimate bringer of soft wrestle toys, ready to engage with anyone who's up for a good play session. And don't get her started on cuddles—she's a pro at turning any downtime into a snuggle fest. Plus, her coat is softer than a cloud, and she's got a knack for taking treats with the grace of a seasoned ballet dancer.
Car rides? Oh, you betcha! Millie's got a one-way ticket to the joy ride club and isn't shy about expressing her enthusiasm—even if it's just a quick trip to the grocery store.
As for manners, Millie's got a few tricks up her paw: sit, stay, down, wait, let’s go, load up—you name it, she's probably got it covered. Leash walking is a work in progress, but she's getting there with a little guidance and a whole lot of patience.
Now, about her social skills—Millie's a bit like that overeager friend who can't contain their excitement at a party. She loves other dogs but could use a crash course in impulse control to keep the paw-to-the-floor enthusiasm in check. At this point, she should be the only princess in a home.
While she's crate trained, Millie's definitely more of a free spirit who'd prefer to roam the room than be cooped up. And fear not, she's not the destroyer-of-worlds type—her toy basket keeps her entertained without wreaking havoc. Oh, and did we mention she's got the whole potty training thing down pat?
For the dream family or person, think athletic, with a spacious, securely fenced-in yard—a spot where Millie can let loose and live her best life. And if you appreciate gentle kisses that don't leave you soggy, consider yourself a perfect match for this Southern Belle in need of a forever home.
