Miller... what can we say other than he is just the MOST gentle, loving, loyal, sweet dog. We know he was mistreated in the past, so you can see in his eyes just how much he appreciates every single kind word, head scratch and belly rub. He wants to be with his people and soak up every ounce of love they can spare. His tail is always wagging and he does well with everyone, everywhere he goes. He may be a senior, but he still loves to go on walks and is always ready to hang out on the couch once you get home. If you let him, he will be a lap dog and will shower you with affection. We can't wait to find him his forever home and have him be part of a loving family!

Miller is about 9 years old, dog friendly, kid friendly, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. He has not been cat tested, but we believe he would have no problem with cats or other small animals in the home.

Miller was Heartworm positive when he was brought into our rescue, but he has successfully completed Heartworm treatment and is now Heartworm negative.

OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.

Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Raising The Bar Animal rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).

Our out of state adoption fee is $175 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of departure.
