Meet Miley
On 11/2/24 I visited Miley in C room. The ACTs had reported she would not allow leashing. When I opened her door, she cowered back in her kennel. I moved back and allowed her to come out on her own. She came out and was very high energy, friendly, affectionate, and playful. When I attempted to leash her, she would run. I made multiple attempts in a variety of ways to leash her, but she did not allow it. I tried to use a step in harness, but that did not work. I sat with her for a while petting around her head and was able to get a regular collar on her neck. From there, I slowly and quietly attached a leash. She walked great on leash (pulled some). She was moved to a double sided stand up kennel to reduce stress with moving for daily cleaning. Very sweet friendly dog that just needs to learn some basics.
