Meet Mike
?Meet Mike?
Mike is from our Bradie Bunch litter back in April of this year, and now is unfortunately back in our care. ? He came back to us in really rough shape, but is on the mend!
We are told that his owners could no longer afford his care. It seems he's been struggling with his skin health for a while now, and we suspect it's due to allergies. He is also very underweight. Right now he is being treated by our vet and is on a strict diet with no chicken. He is improving very quickly! His energy and comfort levels are much better, his skin has started clearing up, and his stomach seems to be settled.
We are doing everything we can to get Mike healthy again while he is in our care! As we continue to work together with our vet, we will make his future family aware of everything we know! But please do keep in mind that at this point we do not know if his family may need to be prepared for future related vet bills.
Mike is 8 months old. When he was a puppy, we were told that they were Mastiff mix puppies, but he is definitely going to be a lot smaller than a Mastiff. He last weighed in at 34lbs, though he does need to gain weight. He's up to date on all vaccines, deworming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and is neutered and microchipped!
Despite his pain when he first arrived, he has been nothing but incredibly sweet with us. He loves everyone and is so friendly and lovable. He loves other dogs, does well with cats, and is great with kids! He stayed in foster for a few days and did such a good job. He is clingy and likes to follow you around everywhere! He is not potty-trained yet, but is starting to get the idea.
If you are interested in Mike, please fill out an adoption application on our website. We are open Wed-Thu 12-7 and Fri-Sun 12-4 if you have any questions or want to meet him!
