Have you ever wanted to own a baby deer? Then Mika is the dog for you. His name means intelligent raccoon in Cherokee which he earned from his shyness and calculating movements when frightened. This shy boy takes a while to warm up to most people, but after a few days in your house he’ll be snuggling in your bed and begging for hugs. He’s not a licking (kisses) kind of dog.
Mika loves dogs more than people. He needs a dog friend to depend on. At only a year old, he still loves to play and go for walks. Stuffies are his favorite toys.
He can be a little possessive of his family, both dogs and people. He’s got your back in any situation. There are moments he’ll shy back like a baby deer even when his person surprises him with pets. He hates his paws touched and cutting his nails is a challenge.
Though he likes kids when calm, he gets very anxious and fearful around hyper children or those in groups. He is, however, fine with cats around the house.
He is both potty and kennel trained. For the most part, he’s good loose in the house, yet he has moments he’ll tear something up. On that note, he may also rearrange your garden if he can get in.
His breed is a mystery thought Plott Hound and Cattle Dog is a good bet. He has beautiful brindle coloring and fur that’s thick, but not too long. He was born August 31, 2023 on a farm in Wabaunsee County. His mama was dumped, then whelped the litter on the farm before they all spent months running free.
