Meet Meti
Hi, my name is Meti! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Goofy, loving, adventurous
-Can Live with Kids: Unknown with how she does with kids so we are requiring kids at least 8 years and up. Everyone will be required to meet to ensure it's a good fit.
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history with cats so we would recommend a very slow and supervised introduction process.
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, pending an initial introduction done here at the shelter.
-Can do Apartment Living: Possibly but she is quite energetic so she will need plenty of physical and mental stimulation daily.
-Potty Trained: Yes
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: Not required
-Energy Level: High
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, a spay
-Additional Information: Meti is young and active girl looking for someone to go on many adventures with! She ended up at the shelter because her last home just wasn't a great fit. For her new home she would benefit from a consistent schedule, plenty of exercise, and would likely enjoy having her person be home for most of the day. Her previous home noted some reactivity but we have not seen much of this behavior here in shelter. Meti should do well in most households, but please keep in mind her history with kids and cats is unknown.
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
