Meet Merry (courtesy post)
This is a courtesy post for For Pet's Sake Animal Rescue.
Meet Merry, a charming 4yr old female red pit mix with a heart as big as her 85-pound frame. Merry brings a higher energy level to the mix. While she takes some time to adjust to new surroundings, her gentle nature shines through. Merry is currently working on improving her comfort level with multiple dogs and is learning to share food with others around. Despite her initial shyness, Merry does not show aggression, making her a lovable and promising companion for the right family. Are you ready to welcome this sweet girl into your life.
Merry is a mid energy dog-great for walks/hikes or just chilling on the couch with her people. She is very people friendly and loves attention and cuddle time. Merry loves squeaky toys, balls, chewing on hard toys. She is housetrained, knows how to use a doggy door, a few basic commands, and walks well on a leash.
Are you ready to welcome this sweet girl into your life?
Merry prefers the single life she will need to be in a only pet home.
Merry has been sponsored to receive evaluation and training through FETCH K9 Training, LLC. Her goals include basic obedience commands (come, sit, down, place, and heel), socialization skills, and confidence building.Â
She will be also be working on building engagement with her handlers, so that she can follow the leader instead of pushing for dominance.Â
FETCH K9 Training, LLC will be giving a free session to Merry's adopter to ensure Merry shines.
The adoption fee for dogs is $175.
To adopt this animal, please fill out the application through Petfinder.
All of our animals are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments encountered during veterinary examinations. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
An application does not obligate you to adopt. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will be in touch as soon as possible.
Noah’s Arc is manned by volunteers, the shelter is not open to the public. Meet and greets for the animals are by appointment only.
