Urgent Foster to Adopt Home Needed!

Does everyone remember Merlin from Millie's Terrier mix litter we took in back in December? He is doing well in foster but his foster family have had a family emergency come up and need him to find another foster or foster to adopt home asap. This sweetie is ~30# and he hasn't met a dog or person that he doesn't like!

Merlin is working on housebreaking and he is crate trained. He is playful with the other dogs, especially his best buddy an adult Pit Bull. They play quite boisterously both inside and outside the house so we know Merlin would appreciate another active playmate in the home. As much as he is active, he can be gentle as well and he is good with the cats in the home as well as the chickens outside. This entire litter of puppies have had the best temperaments and we know any family that adopts one of them will be so happy they did! With our foster to adopt program, you can foster him for a few weeks b3fore making it official to be sure it's a good fit. It's a win-win situation!

Due to his age, size and personality, foster or foster to adopt homes should have the following:

•Be located within 100 miles of Adams NY so that she can get follow up veterinary care, if needed.
•Have previous and current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and be up to date on vaccines as well as spayed or neutered.
•He is good with active dogs and cats in the home amd we believe kids should be fine, too!
•Potential foster to adopt homes need to be willing to have current dogs and family members come to a meet and greet to meet me and be sure it's an acceptable match.
• Have time available to care for, socialize and start the training of a new pet.

Fostering is free, but if you choose to adopt in a few weeks, an adoption donation of $350 is being asked at time of adoption to help cover veterinary and care fees. He has been examined, vaccinated, started on flea, tick and heartworm preventative, been dewormed and has been neutered.

Is this one of the bestest boys? Absolutely! Merlin is ~25 #, and picking up on his training very well. He came to us with his mom and seven other littermates from Kentucky when mom was found pregnant and on the streets. Mom is 35# so we believe the pups will be 35-45# as well. Merlin gets along well with the dogs in his foster home, and he LOVES to play!.

Merlin knows how to sit, come, walks well on a leash, is housebroken and very well mannered in general. He knows how to play with the best of them, is good with dogs, cats and chickens and although playful when he wants to be, he calms down and is a real cuddler! We can't say enough good about this pup and we think he will do well in just about any situation. is a sweetheart and he is very smart. He is a healthy eater and loves treats... this makes his training him easier then most. With his striking knee socks, they don't come much cuter and we aren't sure why he is still with us. If you schedule a meet and greet, we are sure he will win you over!

•He does well with both dog savvy cats and active dogs in the home.
•Due to his current size and disposition we are looking for homes with children over five years old.
•Potential owners need to be willing to have current dogs and family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure it's an acceptable match.
•Have time available to care for, socialize and start the training of a new pet.
