Meet McIntosh - adopted!
Curious, sweet and clever, McIntosh is excited to find his own family. He loves toys, treats and other dogs… but people most of all! Tell him he’s a good boy and watch his happy reaction. Mack, as he’s called, wants to connect with people and be part of a family. Born in mid-June, around 15#. Momma Cider is a beautiful Border Collie. Daddy is a mystery, but he certainly passed along a lot of “adorable”!
McIntosh enjoys meeting new friends, regardless of how many legs they have. He’s a typical puppy: play play play, nap, eat, play some more. Easygoing approach to life. Athletic guy! Watches and learns how to dog from his canine foster siblings. He’s advanced for his age, well potty trained and getting SO good on leash. He relaxes in his crate after just a minute of protest.
The ideal family for Mack has a schedule that works for a puppy who needs potty breaks every few hours (he gets an A+ in potty training). There is an older, friendly pup in the home who will enjoy a devoted sidekick. His people have a solid plan for socializing McIntosh with the world: meeting humans of all ages and abilities, other dogs, and experiencing sights, surfaces and sounds (everything from hearing garbage trucks to checking out Petsmart to watching kids on a playground).
He has medium energy, looking forward to daily neighborhood strolls with his family. Obedience classes are an absolute must for this smarty – please don’t forget the treats! Kids who can redirect sharp puppy teeth will enjoy McIntosh’s affectionate side, always near his people whether out and about, playing in the yard or snuggling on the couch. Families with young kids should have a physically fenced yard. Mature families with a history of keeping dogs safe on leash are also welcome to apply.
McIntosh can’t wait to get his very own last name and be part of a fun-filled family. APPLY to ADOPT his at hoabcr.org/how-to-adopt
McIntosh is being fostered in Princeton, MN.
As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.
McIntosh's adoption fee is $550 + MN sales tax. He is microchipped, heartworm negative and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. He will be neutered by the rescue at the age of 6 months at one of the vet clinics we work with. The cost of this procedure is included in his adoption fee. All of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention.
