Welcome to BDHPI Maybelline! We are happy that your family found us! Maybelline is a large, 4 year old, female, Landseer Newfoundland and has left the farm to find life and love in the city! Maybelline loves the thrill of the chase and frequently would romp around the farm chasing the birds, bunnies, cats, and sometimes the family’s goats and lamb. She wouldn’t hurt them, she just wanted to play, but her big bouncy body barreling towards them was enough to cause sufficient stress for the animals and the family. So, it was time to make a change in lifestyle. It would be wonderful if Maybelline’s new family had a fully contained yard because if left unattended, she will have the tendency to roam. Our Giant Breeds enjoy being indoors with their human companions and Maybelline has her indoor manners mastered. She is house-trained, crate-trained, leash-trained and knows the spoken commands of ‘no, sit, back, go around, inside, outside, and settle’.  She doesn’t get on the furniture and won’t bark incessantly, dig up the yard, or chew on your cherished belongings. Maybelline is one robust bundle of love and is super sweet to people of all sizes. Maybelline likes her play time with children, but she can engage in playful chase and might make a small child tumble, so her forever family would do well to have children with good balance or giant breed experience so that Maybelline can be happy and successful in her new environment. This fluffy lady enjoys her time in the car and really likes spending time with her canine friends.  Overall, Maybelline is a loveable gal with great manners and an awesome attitude!
