MAXX is newer to the rescue and the pics we have now don't do him justice - he's adorable! Floofy ear hairs, shorter low-rider legs, and silky black fur - add to that his friendly personality and being good with other dogs and loving people... he's the real deal. He has a corgi build with stubby little legs. He's estimated just a year old and only 42 lbs. He's good on a leash, enjoys car rides and outings, loves kids, takes treats nicely, and ignores other barking dogs. He can be mouthy with his playing, so we're saying no young kids for his new family. He just needs some time to relax and decompress from all his changes in his life, and he'll make someone a great addition to the family! We'll report back with more pics as we get them from his foster.

Adoption fee INCLUDES: all vetting to age (including deworming, flea & tick etc), spay/neuter and microchip (if the dog is under 6 months alter and chip will occur by ~7 months covered in full at our clinic or reimbursed partially at a vet of your choosing). If the dog is older than 6 months and not yet altered, we will schedule ASAP (normally within 30 days) at our clinic . We also provide as an incentive a $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes. Adoption also includes lifetime support of the rescue.

We do most application processing virtually and dog meets will be individually by appointment with ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS. We are not a shelter and are completely volunteer foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available.

PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada for puppies who haven’t yet gotten their rabies shot - sorry! They need rabies vaccination to cross the border.)
