Meet Maxwell
Meet Max, the lovable goofball with a big heart!
This handsome German Shepherd mix has been through a rough start, but you’d never know it with how sweet and playful he is. Rescued from a neglectful situation in Mississippi, Max is now on the hunt for a forever family that will give him all the love (and belly rubs) he deserves!
He’s got energy to burn and would make the perfect adventure buddy—whether it’s zooming around the yard, going for a hike, or just hanging out with his favorite people. He’s great with kids, does well with cats, and prefers smaller male or female canine friends. If you’ve got a playful pup at home, Max would love a new bestie!
Don’t let all that energy fool you—this boy knows how to kick back, too. Max is a certified cuddle expert and would love nothing more than to curl up next to you for a Netflix marathon after a fun day outside. He’s already mastered "sit" and is working on “shake” (especially when treats are involved). He’s housetrained, walks well on a leash, and is a total pro at car rides. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving sidekick who will stick by your side through thick and thin, Max is your guy. Max is about 60 pounds and a whole lot of love!

Adoption fees cover age specific vaccinations, martingale collar, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/lyme/ehrlichia test, worming and transport fees.
Adoption fees:
Through 6 months of age $450;
7 months to through 5 years $400;
6 years and under 9 years $325: bonded pairs are $500;
9 years and older $250: bonded pairs are $300
This dog is available unless it is marked as Pending, meaning Pending Adoption. This dog is in foster care locally, ONLY if Maine is listed next to the dogs name; otherwise, the dog is still waiting with our partner rescue for an adoption or foster home in New England.
Imported dogs are transported on a USDA approved transport with a Health Certificate. All imported dogs are quarantined 14 days prior to getting on transport.ve had annual heartworm tests and are on heartworm preventative.
