This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Meet Max Doodle - 34 pound, 5 month old, Black Lab/Poodle mix boy from Georgia. Max was taken in from a bad situation by a local good samaritan. He was born with blindness in both eyes and is having enucleation surgery this week.

Despite his blindness Max is an incredibly playful boy. He loves to be outdoors and play in the grass. But he also is so happy to snuggle and lay around with his humans indoors. He loves chew toys and stuffed animals too. He is doing well in his crate and loves sleeping in at night. He meets people well and loves them. He has been around kids before and done fine with them - he doesn't mind them but also doesn't go out of his way to seek them out for attention. His foster mom is working with him on his housebreaking skills and he is definitely picking it up quickly.

Max is the sweetest most loving boy and we can't wait for him to find a wonderful home!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
