Meet Max

Hi, my name is Max, I have a bit of a sad story... I am about 1 year old, as of January 2025, I was an owner surrender to the shelter in December of 2024. The shelter couldn't really figure out what happened to me, but I was VERY skinny, VERY scared and VERY unloved. They helped get me back on track to recovery, I was just starving and neglected. NMLR was able to save me from the shelter after they had kept me for 6 weeks. When I came to NMLR I was very nervous, it was a really big change going from a loud, scary environment to a warm home, with endless love and cuddles. It took me a little bit to warm up to my foster family, but now I am starting to come out of my shell. I love to cuddle; I love other dogs and kiddos too! I am a super sweet boy, with a tragic past, but I am ready to move on to bigger and better and much brighter things! I would love to find my forever home that will love me and make sure I never have to suffer again!
