Max English Springer Spaniel & Labrador Retriever Mix Muncie, IN

Hi! My name is Max and I am a young (8-10 month) springador. A what? A springador which is a mix of a springer spaniel and a Labrador. At least that's what we think I am. The shelter told Herding Haven rescue I was a border collie mix (just cuz I was black and white)...but after a month in my foster home it became clear that I had no border collie in me. I have no herding instinct. But, I do have a pretty strong hunting drive and will bark alert when I see squirrels and deer (which I see a lot on my daily walks). I am not crazy high energy like border collies. My energy level is more moderate. A long walk or hike is all I need to be happy. I have no interest in chasing balls or catching frisbees. But, I love chewing on bones and snuggling on the couch with my favorite person. I love other dogs and enjoy a good game of wrestle or chase. I'm "ok" with the cat in my foster home...but would probably do best in a home without cats. I am house-broken, crate-trained and walk pretty good on a leash (unless..."squirrel!!").
