Meet Max
Marvelous Max is searching for his own perfect match! Could it be you?
Max is a handsome, 6 year-old mini aussie pup who’s ready for a fresh start and a second chance at finding his forever family! His former owner passed away 2 years ago and he hadn’t had stability since.
He’s in our foster care now and his current foster reports that he’s a people-loving, dog-friendly bundle of personality who enjoys both playtime and cuddles. He is well behaved and calm in the house. He knows sit, lay down and stay. Recall is good in the house, not so good outside.
He’s super playful in the yard and loves to zoom around. He loves chasing and being chased. Max would thrive in an active home with a secure yard where he can run his zoomies to his heart’s content. He’d love daily walks and/or playtime with another dog or dogs.
He’s had no issues with trimming nails and brushing. He loves looking out the windows at his foster’s house. He’s a low to medium energy mini aussie. 2-3 play sessions in the yard or a nice walk or two each day works for him.
He hasn’t been around cats or livestock, so his prey drive is unknown. Max does well with older kids and would make a great family dog. Max would thrive in a home with playful and friendly dogs (he may do best with females) or as a solo dog with humans who can keep him active and mentally engaged.
He sleeps on the floor next to his foster’s bed, he has a dog bed but prefers the floor. He jumps on the bed for cuddles in the morning and at night before bed. He sleeps through the night no problem. They don’t feel the need to crate him at night since he’s fully potty trained and doesn’t chew up things.
He’s fed ProPlan twice a day, morning and nightly at and gets fish oil. Doesn’t have any resource guarding with his food so he can eat next to the foster’s dogs. He’s a slow eater so he doesn’t need any special bowls.
No known food allergies that we’ve seen, and his surrender family reported that he didn’t have any.
He’s good on a leash, pulls a little but he’s so light that you hardly notice it.
He does have a little bit of anxiety from not having a home of his own since his owner passed and needs patience while he bonds with a new family. He needs a soft landing and a forever home where he can trust and settle in.
If you’re searching for a silly, sweet and loyal companion to join your family, Max is the one for you!
He’s being fostered in the Corvallis area. Please email hunahapps@gmail.com with questions or fill out an application at http://herduneededahome.com/hunah-dog-adoption-application-form/
