Max is a 9 month old shepherd mix male that weighs about 60 pounds, he is a beautiful golden color with a dark muzzle and eyeliner.
Max, was rescued back in March as a puppy along with his brother and has been with his rescuers getting cared for and living with other dogs of all ages and breeds, he does great with everyone and is also with cats from one to nine years and wants to play with them as well. He has been with chickens and goats and mostly ignores them. He has not been exposed to children, but would likely do well given his easy-going personality. When he is in the house, he is crated at night (he does pee in his crate and we are not sure why that is)
Max and his brother have medium to higher energy and love to play in the fenced yard (5 foot chain link)
He is leash trained and now has a harness and is being worked with for walks.
He allows baths and brushing just fine.
Max, and his brother may dig in the yard if left unattended for long periods of time but when given toys or activity they do fine.
They a still a bit shy when first meeting strangers but warm up well.
Their rescuers say, they are very lovable, energetic, and very loyal.
Max and Arlo are neutered and have had all their vaccines and Max is microchipped with a 24 hour pet watch.



An application must be filled out and accepted before a meet can be set up. If accepted, you will hear from us within 72 hours. You will have the opportunity to ask questions before you meet the pet; an adoption may or may not happen at that time.
We do adopt outside the Yakima area IF you are able to come to Yakima to pick up your adopted pet. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in foster homes. Therefore, meets and adoptions take place at either our office or at a place chosen by the adoption coordinator.
If a pet has 'Adoption Pending' beside its name, an adoption is imminent. Please fill out an application anyway because adoptions don't always go through.
Your application will be kept on file for 30 days in case you find another pet you'd like to apply for.
