Max Husky Sparta, WI

UPDATE from Foster Mom as of 8.15.24: he absolutely loves to initiate play with her dog, so another playful dog in the home would be a bonus! He's doing great at keeping his crate clean and learning the routine (that he never had before!) He likes to chew on bones but doesn't show much interest in softer toys. Also, he likes to chase kitties ? so may not be appropriate for a kitty house unless the adopters are savvy with that behavior.

Meet Max! Max is an approximately 3 year old male Husky who is looking for a forever family to call his own!

Unfortunately, Max spent the first part of his life neglected, living 24/7 on a chain outside. He came to us with injuries/damage to his ears, jaw and eye. All of those are healing and so is his spirit! Max is incredibly happy and friendly, and can't wait to find a family who can help him learn what it's like to be a beloved part of the family.

Because of Max's beginning, he might not know some of the basics that other pets know like a potty training routine, basic commands, manners/obedience, things like that. He would benefit from plenty of play time, structured exercise and training to help his during this transition. We think he'd do well in a home with kids and other pets as long as everyone is properly introduced and supervised. He is currently in foster care with someone who is helping him with all of these things so that he's even more ready for a family of his own!
