Hi, I'm Maverick. Wait, I hear something... I need to bark and protect my home and humans. Okay, time to play. I love to fling my toys in the air or just carry them around. I'm always sure to scatter toys everywhere. That way, when I'm ready to play, there are toys readily available. I never shred my toys immediately. I always preserve my toys for at least a few days. Then, I shred them.

Oh, no. My foster mom's phone just made a noise! She says it's a "notification." I don't know what that is, but I will do my job and bark at it! As you can see, I am very protective and remain on high alert for anything out of the ordinary.

In addition to playing with my toys, I do enjoy play time with other dogs. Of course, I need to be introduced to other dogs before I will play with them. You can never be too careful these days.

I know a bunch of things that I'm sure will impress humans. I know how to sit, stay, and come. I’m already both house trained and crate trained, and I even ride very well in the car. Pretty impressive, wouldn't you say?

I do love cuddling with my humans and I readily accept attention and affection. Although I prefer controlled introductions to new people, once I feel comfortable, I am a big love bug.
