Meet Matthew
Some time ago, working in tandem with another rescue, we posted Matthew looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home from him. Since then, he has become officially an FFFR dog.
When he was brought to CT by another rescue, Matthew needed some guidance and training. Since then, he has been living with a foster-based trainer, and has made a huge amount of progress.
This boy is a puppy -- only about 10 months old. He is some mixture of herding breeds - not sure which breeds! - and he is totally adorable, and very smart!
Matthew loves the company of other dogs - he would love another dog in the home to play with.
He needs to live in an adult home, with people who have experience with herding breeds.
Matthew takes some time to get to know new people. Once that happens, he is a true cuddle-bug :)
He is an active puppy who will need daily physical exercise and mental exercise as well.
A fenced yard would be a big plus for Matthew.
We want to set him up for success, and will want to do several meet and greets prior to moving him to a home. If you would like to adopt, we will want to do a trial foster-to-adopt placement, to make sure the match is a good one for both Matthew and his new family.
Matthew is adorable, and a happy boy once he is comfortable with his people and environment.
PLEASE NOTE: To foster or foster-to-adopt Matthew, you will need to be located within the state of Connecticut.
