Marty, also affectionately known as "Magnificent Marty" by the volunteers who love him. This remarkable dog is in urgent need of a loving forever home.
Marty is a 2-3-year-old neutered male who is up-to-date on vaccinations and microchipped. He displays a strong affinity for water and enjoys playing with toys, especially his Kong octopus. Marty is highly social with other dogs and is an exceptionally quick learner, likely due to his mixed breed heritage (Belgian Malinois, German Shepherd, and potentially some Dane).
Unfortunately, Marty's journey has been challenging. He entered the Martinez Shelter in Contra Costa Animal Services, CA, in May 2024. Due to severe kennel stress, euthanasia was initially considered. However, a group of dedicated animal advocates intervened, recognizing that Marty deserved a better outcome.
Marty was rescued and placed in a boarding facility, where he has resided for the past six months.
We, his devoted volunteer friends, are now seeking a loving and responsible family for this deserving boy.
