Meet Marshal~

Marshall is the smiliest boy I've ever met! He's got a great sense of humor and will have you laughing for sure.Marshall Facts:6-7 years old and about 25 poundsPotty trained.Good with other dogs. I bet he'd be good with cats because he's gentle and a bit submissive. Good with kids too!I've never seen another dog that looks like him. Unique boy!Marshall's likes:Walks.Riding in the car.The occasional chewy.Snuggling.Being a couch potato.Being outside. Now, doesn't he sound like just the best boy? The only thing he's missing is his furever person. Is that you?Do you need a smiley guy in your life? Marshall is the smiliest! He's around six years old, potty trained, good with other dogs (and probably cats, I think they would scare him), and loves going on walks. He's very happy to snuggle up on the couch after his walk. Marshall has had a little bit of a rough go in life so far and deserves a home where he's treated like the champ he is! Look at Marshall in his bow tie. Very demure. Very cutesy. Look how he snuggles. Very lovey. Very sweetsy. He rides well in the car. Very cutesy. Very polite. Marshall is potty trained. Very considerate, very responsible. Adopting Marshall would be very mindful. Very parental. Very beneficial.Marshall has settled right in again. Well, as much as this nervous little boy can settle. Some noises make him jump and he has some low-key anxiety most of the time. It's nothing a little physical activity and mental exercise can't take care of but he will need a little bit of patience and reassurance. We learned this week that Marshall is terrified of storms. He does have prescribed anti-anxiety meds and that helped, but he should definitely be kept in a safe place if you're away from home during storm weather.Marshall is good with other dogs; he's happy to just co-exist with them and hasn't started playing. I think he'd be fine with cats as they'd probably just scare him. He doesn't seem to have a chase reflex. He's not food or toy aggressive. He's potty trained and will let you know when he needs to go out. He really just likes to be next to his person and get loves and cuddles.I like to call him Wile E. Coyote because of his little coyote ears but have no idea what he's a mix of. It would be really fun to get a DNA test on this guy.I don't know his background, but he does have a couple of scars so I think he didn't get a very loving start in life and that's what he needs and deserves. It also would explain his anxiety. He just needs a furever home that will provide him safety, security, and reassurance that the rest of his life will only bring him happiness.Marshall (Mathers) is looking for his furever Valentine. Could it be you? This handsome boy is six years old with plenty of energy for walks and hikes but also mellow enough to snuggle on the couch and watch movies with you. And he really loves to snuggle! It's best for Marshie to be crated when you're not home for his safety as he can be a little too curious about what he can get into. His bark is loud so he might not be the best choice if you live in an apartment. If you like a little mystery, Marshall is your man. I haven't heard a lot about his background, but he seems to have had a rough past. He deserves to live the rest of his life in peace with all the love he hasn't gotten before. He'll give it back a hundred times over.Marshal is feeling safe enough to be silly! He still doesn't like loud noises, but he's not running to his crate to hide like he did before. Sometimes he even comes to me for reassurance. His favorite place in the house is my couch. He takes treats nicely and walks well on his leash. He's just going to be the best boy in his furever home.Marshall (Mathers) is a shy boy but he made some big steps tonight. He got to meet my dog outside his crate and he was a bit timid, but not aggressive. He ran to his crate for safety, but every time I loved on her and baby talked, he came out looking for some love. He came running out when he heard the food hit the bowl. lol. He doesn't know how to be a real dog yet, but he's eager to learn. After just a couple of hours, he settled right in. He's so sweet and will absolutely fall in love with whoever gives him his furever home.I have really come a long way from when I was first found! I was skin and bones(last pic) I am the goodest boy! I am house trained and don't like being out long when it is cold. I had a ruff past so I am still a little nervous around sudden movents, loud noises and certain people. I just want all the belly rubs and cuddles please, I will be your very best friend and smile so big when you love me. Good with other dogs , doesn't mind cats Good with kids and great in his crate as you can see! I'm 6 years old and about 20 pounds I would love my forever home so I can know I'm where I'm going to stay and erase my past! I cannot believe poor Marshal survived starving and then being attacked by dogs. His injury was horrific. He needed major surgery and a long recovery. His one saving grace is he was taken to a clinic who made it their mission to save his life and find him a place where he will be assured of love, care forever. Marshal is coming to Russell Rescue tomorrow.
