MARS - Foster to Adopt
* House trained
* Crate trained
* 61 lbs, estimated to be 1 year old
* Good with children
* Good with dogs
* Good with cats
* So handsome and wonderful family dog!
Meet Mars! After an uncertain life on the streets and 3 months in the shelter, he is now enjoying home life. So far his favorite activities are eating meals, following his foster mom everywhere and playing with his furry foster brother. Since he has never experienced a loving home before, he is learning how to do things like snuggle and play with toys. Every day is a new adventure and his confidence is growing. Mars loves other dogs and is comfortable with their companionship. He is good with cats and just look how gentle he is with puppies! Good with children! Mars has a super soft coat and just a sweet teddy bear. Loves to play outside! He is agile so a 6 foot fence would be best.
As a Foster-to-Adopt parent, you would be responsible for giving Mars a loving and safe environment. All medical needs are handled by the group until adoption is finalized so the benefit of a situation like this is taking the time needed to make sure Mars is the right fit without feeling pressured by a timeline. We offer the support, we just need the commitment from a home.
For more information on our adoption/foster to adopt process, please visit our website at www.youluckydogrescue.org and read our Adoption FAQ's and Before You Adopt documents. You can complete an online adoption/foster application from our website. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details that are not included in this biography.
PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.
Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.
The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.
We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
