Meet Mars

Please Note: WE ARE NOT A SHELTER- ALL DANES ARE IN FOSTER HOMES
MEET MARS! Mars and his siblngs were dumped at a local boarding facility. Mars is very smart and active. Mars loves to play and catches on to commands very quickly. Mars might be 75 pounds when full grown. We estimate him to be about 5 months old. He has received his puppy vaccines and will need to be neutered. The pictures of Mars do not do him justice. He is a very good looking boy. Mars will need an active home who can give him obedience lessons and give him a daily exercise outlet. If his adopter is not able to give him these things Mars will become destructive. If you are a daily runner then Mars is your dog, if you do obedience training then Mars is your dog, if you are a couch potato then Mars is NOT your dog. The adopter will be responsible for neutering Mars and we can help to refer you to a low cost neuter clinic.
ADOPTION CONTRIBUTION FEE: $100.00
In many cases, the cost of vetting services is greater than the adoption contribution. The adoption contributions help defray the costs of vetting services, but rarely, if ever, cover all expenses. Additional donations are welcomed and appreciated. Please consider making a donation to help offset medical expenses.

GDRST will have the following services completed as part of the adoption process. Each animal will be spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, heartworm treated if applicable, fecal tested, de-wormed, microchipped and monthly heartworm preventative
Please note GDRST is an all-volunteer, run by individuals with full time careers. In order to meet with a Dane that you are interested in, please complete our online application. After receiving your application, a volunteer will verify with your vet the care on your current or previous animals and then contact you to set up a home eval and to discuss which Dane may be a match for you.
