Marcus - Busy Bee American Staffordshire Terrier & German Shorthaired Pointer Mix Washington, IA

Marcus is a young male American Staffordshire Terrier and German Shorthaired Pointer mix who recently lost his home due to a breed ban.

Marcus has major best friend vibes. He could make an amazing agility or flyball dog, hiking companion or happy house buddy. Anything is possible when you’re Marcus.

He is friendly and social and just wants to be everybody’s friend. When he notices another dog, he trots over with his tail held high to say hello. We haven’t seen him around cats but he has the potential to live well with kitties with responsible introductions.

Marcus loves squeaky toys and chasing the ball. He loves attention, but is also happy to play independently. He’s going to make a person or family very lucky when they choose him.

This doggy is described as a 'Busy Bee'. I’m a naturally playful, curious, and trusting canine. Take me for a big walk every day; give me something to do. After my job’s done, I’ll curl up in front of the fire with you in the evenings. (Externally motivated)

It is recommended that whenever you add a new animal to your household, it is done with a slow and monitored introduction.

All our dogs have been spayed or neutered or arrangements will be made if currently too young. They will be treated for fleas, bathed, vaccinated against distemper/parvo, treated against general parasites, and if of age, tested for heart worms and vaccinated against rabies. If underage for these things at the time of adoption, they are to be done at the adopter’s cost when the dog becomes of age. They will be microchipped at the time of adoption.
